Use Grip Tools

Grip tools are icons that you use in a 3D view to easily constrain the movement or rotation of  objects to an axis or a plane

There are two types of grip tools:

Move (3DMOVE command)

Rotate (3DROTATE command

1. Open                          a drawing with 3D solid object and display in a 3D view.
2. Hold                           the CTRL key and select the solid.
3. Toggle                        to other subobjects within the solid while holding the CTRL                                                    key.
4. Click and drag           to modify the solid using the grip tool.
